TREAD SAFELY THIS SUMMER

This month we are offering local motorists free tyre safety checks as part of a national campaign.

will carry out the checks throughout July - National Tyre Safety Month - after giving its backing to TyreSafe, a not-for-profit organisation created to raise awareness of the dangers of defective and worn tyres.

TyreSafe is aiming to improve road safety by highlighting the risks posed by driving on tyres which have insufficient tread depth, making them both potentially illegal and dangerous.

We are supporting the campaign by offering free tyre tread depth and pressure checks on all makes and models at in all our workshops.

Our highly qualified technicians will also go on to offer you a free 32-point full vehicle health checks for those drivers who want to ensure their car is fit for the potentially gruelling winter ahead.

Manoj Maisuria, Group Aftersales Manager said: 'The simple fact is cars have just four points of contact with the road - their tyres - and, obviously, these need to be in tip-top condition.

'Driving on defective, excessively worn, or incorrectly inflated tyres is, potentially, highly dangerous and we're keen to do anything we can to help drivers recognise and address the risks of dangerous tyres.

'And having motorists visit us for their free tyre safety check seemed like a great opportunity to look at other aspects of their car's condition so we can ensure they're as safe as possible on the roads this winter.
